Piano Teacher

Piano lessons taught by Prof. Dolf Oh are known for being both popular and memorable. Every lesson taught by Mr. Oh is not only demanding, but also provides great lessons for students to apply in their professional and personal lives. Mr. Oh is trained as a concert pianist from early age in South Korea and United States. Mr. Oh studied at Graduate School at University of North Texas during the time when famous musicians such as Cindy McTee, Vladimir Viardo, Anshel Brusilow and many others were on faculty or around. Mr. Oh’s major is Piano Performance and his minor is composition. Famous pianists and composers such as Vladimir Viardo, Jack Roberts, Joseph Klein, Cindy McTee were Mr. Oh’s mentors while studying at University of North Texas.

EKATERINA CHERNAYA OH (MRS. OH)

As an acclaimed and award-winning pianist, Dr. Ekaterina Chernaya Oh enjoys a distinguished career as a concert performer and pedagogue. After early study at the Saratov State Conservatory in Russia, she came to United States for further studies at the University of Wyoming and University of North Texas where she studied with the world- renowned pianist Vladimir Viardo winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and Artist-in-Residence at UNT. Dr. Ekaterina Chernaya has delighted audiences in a wide array of venues. She has appeared at the Rachmaninov Hall Moscow Conservatory, Skryabin Museum, Saratov State Conservatory Hall. She has performed as a soloist with the UNT Wind Symphony and the Saratov Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Russia. Dr. Ekaterina Chernaya Oh remains in demand not only as a soloist,but also in chamber music and vocal collaboration. Her teaching experience includes: Austin College, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, University of North Texas, University of Wyoming and Saratov State Conservatory in Russia. She has been a prizewinner in many competitions, including International Piano Competition - San Jose, California. Dr. Ekaterina Chernaya Oh holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Saratov State Conservatory in Russia and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of North Texas. Her major teachers were Vladimir Viardo, Harold Heiberg, Theresa Bogard, Anatoly Skripay.
